Anyone have any predictions as to which team will come out on top in this
weekends clash between the Natal Sharks and Western Province......naturally
my money is on WP, but those Sharks sure do know how to play the game.
Let me know what you think..?

Matthew, you really going to hate this, but it was posted yesterday to
the SA Rugby listserve after a genuine interview with a top SA
forecaster.

An appointment booked a month in advance was essential but very much
worth it in the end. Southern Africa's leading sangoma and telekinetic
magician, Sipho Xaba, gave definite indications of where Currie Cup
'98 is headed.

Before you guys get too e***d, let me say at once that Sipho was
quite categorical about all predictions being subject to Head Office
confirmation. (this means subject to bank clearance of all the PD
cheques and prom notes etc., he now holds)

Like the French sangoma, Nostradamus, Sipho doesn't just come out
with a flat prediction that any ***y fool can understand. There is
an element of esoteric truth hidden in a dark shroud of mystery that
only the blessed of Africa can ever hope to penetrate.

The sun and moon oppose
Not where the trophy goes
In darkness and in light
They surely win the fight
The big and small
They all will fall
To this mighty foe
The Cup will surely go.

To me it's pretty obvious he is refering to Natal. In darkness and in
light must surely refer to the dynamite of the black 'n white. It's
all over guys! The rest of you can give up!
