in reply to "Sportsweb Results & News"

I get out of bed on Sunday morning and cruise through my newsgroups
before going to work for the day. On my return I'm looking forward to
watching the Crusaders v Sharks game.

I get to rec.sport.rugby.union to discover that some git has put the
result of the game in a message header. Grrrrrrr

May you spend all eternity as a stain on Jonahs toilet bowl.

The vast majority of posters to rsru manage the courtesy of not
putting the result of the game in a header, particularly not within
hours of the game finishing.

*** off Tom!!  As a Kiwi living in exile I get up and wonder what has
happened overnight.  Damn Foxtel don't always have the games on, and the
media have a knack of burying the details in between 3rd grade Scottish
Soccer results , so I like the result in the news group.  The same thing
has transpired with the Womens' World Cup.(What would another half of the
world's humanity do for the game, if they got some encouragement.)
On the Crusaders!! -  John H.

I'm not losing any sleep over it, there's more important things in
life, but it's not all that difficult to change the header to
"Crusaders/Sharks result" and let those that wish to download the
massage

It's been said many times before but just once more is okay. Both of
the above fans can be kept happy with a header that reads "Sharks vs
Cats (RESULT) " Only those who want to know the result download it.
I'm with Tom. When the result is in the header, he doesn't have any
choice. IMO that's either stupid, unbelievably selfish  or both.

And I've said many times that if you don't want to know a result then
don't read RSRU until you know it. The responsibility lies within the
person not wanting to know the result. They should stop blaming others.

Great stuff.  Another breakthrough for the Net.  Where will it all end?

Thanks for your solid remarks Mike, I presume you are the "perfect" child my
mummy kept telling me about?

As for your opinion........keep it to yourself, some people in this
newsgroup prefer to read headers only, not the trivial trash that people
like you write.

Into the twit filter with you, jerk.

Mike makes far higher quality contributions to this newsgroup on a bad day,
than I've seen from you.

What a spectacularly cretinous response to an utterly reasonable point.

Funny how a firm specializing in producing web-pages can be so
ignorant when it comes to matters of netiquette. Makes you wonder
about the 'quality' of their work...

Clearly, you're not one of the people in this newsgroup who prefer
to read headers only. You read all the trivial trash I wrote.

Do you know why I battle to grasp the mindset of turds like you?
Maybe its the perfection you spoke of. Obviously a problem that
you have overcome but then this Sportsweb of yours is showing
such a nice profit? Nothing worse than running at a loss....

Guess who I've just advised a chum in NZ that was looking for a web
consultancy to help push his new sports clothing/equipment business to
avoid...  ??

I guess not all publicity is good publicity after all!

Thanks Ian for that.....their loss I would guess seing as Sportsweb NZ is
and has the biggest readership in NZ.

To put this mess to rest I would like to take this opportunity and apologise
to Mike through this newsgroup. My remarks to his post were uncalled for,
and were done at the heat of the moment.

So Mike, I apologise, and to all of the other readers that had the
misfortune to read my post, I too also apologise.

Graham.
