Coach & players wanted in Northern California Division II Club

Santa Rosa Rugby Club is beginning its 25th year of competitive
rugby.  Located in the wine country an hour north of San Francisco we are
half an hour from the ocean and four hours drive to the ski slopes and
***s.  We can offer players and coaches a robust economy, a beautiful
place to live and great comradarie.
Santa Rosa has been to the nationals three times in this decade
winning back to back championships.  We have dominated our division and
been to the Pacific Coast championships on the way to the nationals.  Age
and injury have taken their toll on our team, but a youth movement based
on a strong High School rugby progam is beginning to pay dividends. In
addition to a first and second club side, we field an old boys side and we
are entering an under-21 side in the 3rd Division this year to keep our
developmental program strong.
We are looking for players of all age and skill levels who are
committed to enjoying the game and fellowship of rugby.  We are also
looking for a coach who is committed to taking our club back to the
promised land with an exciting brand of wide open play.  We have
reorgainzed the club to provide the type of administrative support
necessary to allow a coach to concentrate his efforts on teaching the
game.
Coaching prospects should see our ad in the current Rugby Magazine
(page 30) or send their resumes to 805 Beaver Street, Santa Rosa, CA
95404.  Players can write to that address or contact the club phone at
(707) 575-0616.
