Leicester - still in any cup competitions

Post by Springbo » Tue, 10 Mar 1998 04:00:00

Can anyone let me know if Leicester are still in any of the domestic cup
competitions, if so, who when and where are they playing ?. I don't seem to
be able to find a Tigers site.

Thanks.

(No, they are not!)

I noticed from the programme on Saturday that they were advertising an
internet site. The address appears to be:

http://www.le.ac.uk/leicester/tigers/tiger.html

I don't know what it's like as I haven't looked myself yet.

Leicester will be hosting Gloucester in the Cheltenham & Gloucester Cup
at 1.00pm on Saturday March 21st. You can read the match report here

ps, I can't help with the Tigers site, but try looking at the Allied
Dunbar site, can't remember the URL....

The official site is appauling. The top site I've said shows the Tigers
stories in the mercury on any particular day over the last week. The
second site is promising but rarely updated.
Tigers are playing Glaws in the C&G cup. Even if we were still in the
main cup their is an unwritten rule that we are not allowed to play at
home after the 5th round.

I understand that the Official Site was being moved because it was
hosted by Leicester University who were responsible for updating it
which meant that updates were not regular or easier.

A new site has been promised for several months and has been 'nearly'
ready for several months.

However no progress - we all wait for something to happen.
