Surprising, to say the least.  Once again, reports of the death of rugby
in the provinces without S12 franchises prove to be premature.

I listened to the last 5 minutes to the radio commentary on the ZB
network (after being startled by the progress score on Teletext).  The
local commentator was so frantic with hope & anxiety in the dying stages
it was sometimes hard to work out exactly what was going on, but at
least he left no doubt at the end that the result mattered to him:  "Oh,
awesome, awesome, awesome, they've knocked over Canterbury, they've
silenced the lambs"  :)

Yep , looks like Northland is only capable of knocking over the class
sides:))

Yep ...... I was there and it was awesome.....

Four tries against Canterbury by any teams is good, by the Taniwha's it was
historic.

Northland pack looked strong all night and the defence in the last three
minutes was staunch. The only thing to be brighter that night was Norman
Berrymans smile :-)
