BBC Ceefax reports: More misery for Hill as engine goes
World Champion Damon Hill has been hit by yet more mechanical problems in
the build-up to Sunday's race. Hill was lying eight fastest in first
practice when the new engine he was using for the first time died. "The
engine broke," said Hill after being forced to park the car off the circuit
and he eventually slipped back to 17th place. "It is not anything to happy
about. Clearly there is still a problem with the engine," he added.

BBC Ceefax reports: Coulthard unhurt after crash
Scotland's David Coulthard was involved in a high speed crash during
opening practice for Sunday's race. Coulthard lost control of his McLaren
at the last chicane and careered into the barriers. The front right wheel
was ripped off his car, but he was unhurt. Heinz-Harald Frentzen spoiled
teammate Jacques Villeneuve's homecoming when he clocked 1:20.289 to set
the pace, eight-tenths of a second inside Damon Hill's lap record set in

(Hol) speaking about Formula one debut as constructor in 1999 (reported by
the Dutch Telegraaf newspaper this morning).
