JORDAN THREATENS IN BARCELONA,
FERRARI COMPLETED TEST AT MUGELLO.

FEB 20 - Heinz Harald Frentzen tops times on Friday in Barcelona, second was
David Coulthard for McLaren and very close in top three second Jordan driver
Damon Hill. Jordan showed impressive runs yesterday, as both drivers made
over 60 laps, both commented that car improves dramatically from day to day.
Coulthard has beaten '98 champion for a very long time ago. So, yesterday he
did exactly that. Fourth fastest was also very quick Stewart driver Rubens
Barrichello and only than Mika Hakkinen in second McLaren. All entire
drivers that stay off best time more than one second were in order, Panis,
Trulli, Herbert, Diniz. Frentzen clocked best time of 1:21.37.

Double world champion Michael Schumacher was once again behind the wheel of
Ferrari's F399 on Friday at Mugello where the team is working on the final
preparations for the season opener at Melbourne in Australia on March 7th.
The German driver spent the morning session working on the setup of the car
and the afternoon session was spent on reliability testing. Schumacher
completed a race distance simulation, which included two pit stops for
refueling and new tyres. He completed a total of 80 laps and managed to set
a time of 1:27.406 seconds around the 5.250 km Mugello racetrack. Irishman
Eddie Irvine will takeover the testing duties on Saturday and will drive a
F399. The team's test driver Luca Badoer was also in action, but drove the
Minardi.
