To become the record holder, he has to beat the incumbent, not match him.

Ok, try something for me. Equal a record, any record, in the Guiness
Book of World Records, and then see if they'll put you in the book. They
won't.

Hm.. "Guiness". Sounds kinda British, so it's irrelevant..

It seems that you are, though. You don't have even the basic idea, do
you? So let's spell it out for you:

1. Record number of poles as at this morning was held by Ayrton Senna -
65 poles.

2. Number of poles required to beat and therefore remove Senna from 1st
place - 66 poles

3. Poles acheived by Michael Schumacher after today's qualifying - 65
poles

Therefore Senna remains 1st. Conventional reasoning is that the first
person to acheive a set number of whatever's retains 1st until he/she
is *beaten*, not equalled.

Got it?

Now go away andd try and learn something to your advantage, yfi.

You're not worth the effort.

...And once again you reduce an idea to your own minute arena of
understanding, in an idiotic attempt to master it, and thus render it
absolutely absurd.

Ah... There's the "rapier-like" booze-hound's substitute for wit we've
all missed so much.
