(sunday 22 february) Tests past week

A lot of teams tested the past week.

Until tuesday Ferrari was testing at Mugello. Then Michael Schumacher
and
Eddie Irvine had a few days off. On friday testing continued. Schumacher
did a
complete race distance on friday, he drove 75 laps, he completed his
fastest lap
in 1m29s025. Schumacher did have some problems, a dog was walking on the

track. Yesterday Schumacher drove 10 laps in the morning. In the
afternoon he
drove with another F300, he completed his fastest lap in 1m28s707.
Eddie Irvine drove a race distance yesterday. He completed 75 laps (with
two
pitsstops), his fastest lap was 1m28s948. Testing continues today.

McLaren, Sauber, and Jordan were testing in Barcelona on friday. Mika
Hakkinen
was fastest, 1m21s30. Coulthard was second, 1m21s84, followed by the two

Jordans Hill and Schumacher and then the two Saubers Herbert and Alesi.

Arrows, Stewart, Tyrrell and Minardi were also testing in Barcelona in
the
beginning of this week. Especially Tora Takagi did a good job, he was
the fastest
Goodyear driver.
At the end of the week Arrows tested at Silverstone, together with
Benetton. Mika
Salo was four seconds faster than Alexander Wurz.

Prost was testing at Magny-Cours. Oliver Panis completed his fastest lap
in
1m18s8. The team had problems with the gearbox, but, according to the
team,
they solved these problems.

Williams tested at the French Paul Ricard track. Villeneuve completed
his fastest
lap on Monday in 1m09s90. After that the team didn't give any
information about
lap times, but rumors say Frentzen and Villeneuve drove laps 1m09.
