Frank Williams was wrong again

Frank Williams was wrong again

Post by DRIESSEN Miche » Mon, 11 Aug 1997 04:00:00

With his almost victory in Hungary today, Damon Hill has proven that Frank
Williams was completely wrong in replacing him by Frentzen. One year ago,
Hill already had 7 victories thanks to his splendid driving abilities and
his technical know how.

It is obvious that the current Williams pair is missing a lot of it. The
suppremacy of their cars is completely gone, despite Villeneuve's victory
today which is very much undeserved.

If Frank Williams was a real F1 team manager, I'd like to hear from himself
he made a mistake. People who admit their mistakes are to my opinion real
sportsmen.

HHF is a turkey but you can't blame him for today. Truly sad & silly
mechanical failure.

FW should've picked up Herbert. I but there would have been more podiums
and a better team. I think HHF and JV clash badly, and JV is NOOOOOO leader
for a team.

I think your right about picking Hebert instead of HHF. For leader I
don't think their's such thing as leader in F1 everybody is for
themselves, if their's a leader it would be the owner like FW (Mr
Burns). Villeneuve is the #1 driver for Williams, like Schu is for
Ferrari.

I think that everyone knew FW was wrong to repace Damon
the moment he did it.  It was obviously not because Damon
lacked talent and skill!

I think Damon Hill was a good "leader" for his team last year. Admittedly
the Wiiliams car is not working well with the tires this year and there is
nothing JV can do do fix that. I'm a JV fan but it seems he might be more
concerned about his hair, Sandrine and other things while the car is not
what it should be.

Without a doubt Schumacher get a huge amount of the credit for getting
Ferrari where it is this year. He gets the most out of everyone and the
car.

In Sundays CART race Allesandro (Alex to the 'mercans) Zanardi thanked the
team and credited the Team work. It just might work in F1 to. Damon also
thanked everyone.
