Prediction Canadian Grang Prix

My prediction on the Canadian grand prix
training
1 Villeneuve (home track)
2 Hill (has to show he still there)
3 Schumacher (has tested very fast last week)
4 Alesi (renault engine)
5 Ervine (same as schumi and the car has changed)
6 Berger (same as alesi)

race
1 Villeneuve (home track)
2 Schumacher (engine needs lots of fuel so extra stop)
3 Hill (will *** up again)
4 Alesi (has to finish)
5 Berger (same)
6 Frentzen (the biggest and fastest talent with money!!)

send me your comment before practice starts

I thought that the track has been changed a lot, so the track is no
advantage to Villeneuve. (Maybe the person I heard this from
exaggerated... Canadiens, inform me!)

Schumacher is driving a V10, so I don't see why Ferrari needs more fuel.

Hill either finishes first or doesn't finish at all.
1. If he's in the lead, none can catch him (unless the car breaks down).
2. If he's not in the lead, he'll spinn, crash, or something else.

I predict: Hill will win.
I hope: The Red Baron will take his second. But only after a battle.

Driving at in one's home country is worth at least a 0.1 second a lap.
(Especially if it's named after your dad!)   Just look at some of the
brilliant drives by Mansell at Silverstone even when he didn't have the best
car and of course almost any Ferrari driver at Monza or Imola.

Hi Tuomo,

I like what you said about Hill either winning or not finishing. I think
the qualifying round on Saturday will tell a lot. If Hill is on pole
(and it doesn't rain on race day), I don't think Schumacher can catch
him. But if it rains, you can virtually count Hill to DNF and Villeneuve
to finish anything except first.

Cheers,
Allan Tay

I think Jordan might do well. They seem to have a very good engine, and
the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is an acceleration-braking circuit. Even
more now, that one fast S was removed.

But we will only know something tomorrow. Today (Friday) is bluff-day.

100% with you!  Rubens is due!
By the way, is that Raleigh IBM as in NC?  I went to Ravenscroft for
3 horrible years.  Good to hear from F1 enthusiasts in the South.

I'd love to see Rubens get his first win and surprise everyone, but remember, Friday is
for work on race setup, so I pay as much (or more) attention to Friday afternoon times
as I do to qualifying...
