BBC Points of View

Post by Steve Smit » Fri, 15 Dec 1995 04:00:00

It seems we're starting a support campaign for the BBC here, so just thought
you'd like to know the email address of the BBC TV programme where viewers
can say their bit (called "Points of View"):

I've mailed them, as has a mate of mine.  I guess a few supportive messages
can at least make them feel that their viewers are very disappointed.

Now, if anyone happens to no the email address of ITV (not a particular
region, just the overall controller) then countless 1000s of us can mail
them our negative views :-)

I noticed that on the letters page, they stopped printing the atlas.co.uk
address.  However, they do have a Compu$erve address (which I've already
mailed to).  I don't have Autosport with me today (and you tell me anyone
who can remember a Compu$erve email address off the top of their head ...
even if it's their own!). If anyone finds the atlas.co.uk address doesn't
get a reply, let me know and I'll remember to post the Compu$erve address.

Mind you, I mailed them on Tuesday, and haven't got a reply yet.  Maybe
they don't read their email very often.  BTW, I suggested that they got
them self a WWW home page, which I thought was a good idea.

However it won't do much good - its not a case of the BBC dropping F1
as they were not even aware that any negotiations were going on with
ITV until the deal was announced and they seem to be as annoyed as
many people here are over the situation.

If you use some of the web crawlers you will find there is an Autosport
Web page.  It is ours, one of the 32 magazines we feature at our website.

But for copyright reasons, we are somewhat limited in what we can show,
since we are agents and not associated with the Publishers.
