Shumacher is a bum.  He showed his talent today by not racing but by hiding
from Canadian super driver Jacques Villeneuve.  Who deserves the
championship now?

Schumacher.  Canadian super driver JV finished where in this race, eh? Was JV
in the best car, starting from pole position, eh?  Oh, now I get your point.
MS was hiding from JV by driving faster than JV, eh.  You are so right, MS was
hiding from JV, eh.

Oh, and JV's blocking Schumacher _was_ racing ???  I think it is JV who
showed his true colors today - he went into a race (which he shouldn't
have driven in) with the _sole_ intention of screwing up MS's race in
any way he could.  And when MS did race momentarily with JV following
the pitstops, JV tried to _dangerously_ block/collide with Schu.  Schu
avoided this, pulled away and when Eddie let Schu through JV could do
*** all about Eddie (he didn't even _try_ a passing manouver - he
couldn't !!!)

My two cents worth is this.  Both drivers are exceptional.  That is a
fact.  Shuey sucks or JV sucks are really ill spoken words.
Race tactics are great.  The way I read the race is this way.  Jacques
will lose the appeal so he won't get any points.  That is the worse case
senario.  What to do?  Hold up MS and let other drivers try and pass
him.  A simple driving tactic tried all the time by all drivers.  Fact
is, it didn't work.
Irvine's move on JV was spectacular.  I say that and I am a true
Canadian and a true JV fan.  It made me sick to see it, but at the same
time I really enjoyed watching it.

I truely believe that with the huge amounts of sponsorship money and
huge political involvement, it is in the cards that Farrari will win.
Gerry Donnaldson said it, many F1 experts said it and a prominent
Italian racing magazine said it.  JV has been bashed over and over again
for what he and every other driver does.  He suffers from it and no one
else does.

Interesting.

Absolutely! Even the "slowest" driver is exceptional. And the rest of us :-
simply armchair drivers feeling jealous and insignificant. Perhaps that's
why this news group is so bad tempered.

Absolutely! The best race of the year by far.

Absolutely! The best couple of passing maneouvers this year. Funny that
Eddie is either great (e.g. Monaco) or crap! Still, at least he's
interesting,
speaks his mind, and funny.

Hmm, I think you've lost the plot a bit here. JV (and 6 others) broke the
rules, and were punished according to the rulebook. No FIA ***, no
Anti-JV secret socities, simply the rules applied.

JV has the same trouble that Damon had with Shuey. MS was/is a git, and
was fined for dubious practises (cheating), black flagged for breaking the
rules etc in his 1st championship year. Most of Germany was on the
same *** theory then as now. He shunted DH off the track to
win (IMHO ;) yet DH seems to be most hated (although in this news group
everyone seems to be hated!).

Why, 'cos MS was/is much much better than DH at the PR game.

JV has the same problem, his PR is crap. He speaks his mind, unfortunately
his mind can be crass and childish, and it bugs people that someone earning
huge amounts of money is crass and childish. It's the old jealously thing
again.

JV gets all upset 'cos his tactics didn't work, has a massive whinge
to the press, and threatens (again) to quit. Ho hum... gis a break Jacques.
Just drive the car, win or lose the WC, and if you can't say something
interesting or funny, or even boring (bring back Mansell) shut the *** up
:-)

I'm curious, since when does good team work make a competitor 'scared'?

In team sports, you do what is right for the team.  Ferrari's move was all
part of racing, as was Villenueve's move at the start and out of the pits.
I do not agree with Villenueve's tactics, but I must say..."that's racing".

The person that should be getting flamed is Frentzen...

BTW, it is not a given that Villenueve would have passed Schumacher...as the
saying goes....it's one thing to catch up...another altogether to overtake.

ESPECIALLY Schumacher...love him or hate him, he is not a pushover when it
comes to overtaking him.
