BBC Ceefax reports: Schumacher heads Champion rankings
Micheal Schumacher moved back to the top of the Champion Spark Plug
world driver rankings, despite only finishing sixth in Sunday's Austrian
Grand Prix. He has a 12-point lead over CART series champion Alex
Zanardi, who only has one more chance to win points. Every championship
is given a rating and is judged against Formula One, which has the
greatest global value. Each has a total that can be achieved, which is
divided by the number of races. The top 10 drivers score points.

Top-20 listing available on our site - Schumacher has got 899 points to
774 points of Villeneuve who is fourth. Jean Alesi is the next F1 driver
on position 18 with 533 points.

I find these rankings all a bit silly.  Global value, like what??  How
can one compare an F1 driver to a CART driver?  It's apples vs.
oranges.  I have no problem with MS at the top of the list, but I'd love
to see just how well Zinardi would do if he were put into F1.  Even
Alesi would chew him up and spit him out (okay, well, maybe Eddie)...

F1=Skill and precision
CART=Yellow flags and Yellow flags.

To heck with these rankings, there's just no comparison.

Uh, A.J.,.... Zanardi was in F1 and got the golden toe, that's why he's now
in CART and no longer in F1(and NO I'M NOT COMPARING F1 TO CART!!!!!) ;)
