OT: Auto racer PC gamer question PC versus XBox 360 or waiting for PS3?

I was raving about Gotham on the Xbox 360.  I also saw a pretty hot ad
for the rally PS 2 game.  I have had GP2 on a PC which I thought was
great.

What is a really hot auto racing game for the latest generation PC's at
this time?

The Xbox 360 was looking pretty tempting with Gotham based on the sound
and video.  I am not a huge gamer as it cae be a huge waste of time.
Still, I may be looking to get a either a fast PC or a Xbox 360 after
Christmas.

Also for the money - what is the best way to go?  PC or game console?

AMD or P4?

I may eventually get an LCD projector as they are down to about $600.
You can plug in a DVD player.

A hotted up PC with a good video card and lots of RAM can get prices?

Is an XBox 360 a better way to go?

Wait for the PS3?  I don't really care about backwards compatibility to
old games.

How is the AMD heat issues?

The multiple IBM Xeon ***we have at the office are really hot.  They
could warm up a meat locker.  We have some small Sun Sunfire pizza
boxes and the Sprac chips are cool as a cumcumber.

I would love some of those new Sun Becky (Andreas von Bechtolshiem)
boxes also known as Galaxy servers using AMD dual core Optereons.

The hottest games on the PC sim front at the moment is R-Factor and Live For
Speed ! (not need for speed).

Both are download only..not high street buys.. !!

Both have amazing realism and unbelievable online *** !!

My Athlon 64-bit runs at about 40 degrees summer or winter. I've
probably built 100 or more systems during the year, exclusively AMD,
and never had overheating problems with any of them. Bang-for-buck
they're unbeatable.

rates in 1024x768x16 in dx7.
