Berger withdraws from Canadian GP

Berger withdraws from Canadian GP

Post by Lucy La » Fri, 13 Jun 1997 04:00:00

Nobody else has posted this news up until now so I thought I'd pass on the
info that Berger has withdrawn from the GP this weekend on the recommendation
of is doctor. In spite of his recent operation, an aggravated sinus infection
has meant he is unfit to take part.

Test driver Alex Wurz will take his place.

Let's hope he recovers soon and is able to take part in the French GP in two
weeks time. Get well soon Gerhard!

Actually, the news feed and propagation in this newsgroup is awful, I posted the
same message at about 7:30 EST (Montreal time) thursday morning (about the
same time you posted actually Lucy). Since then, I've seen about a dozen Berger
is out messages....

Propogation is a function of your own isp's connections to the major
news backbones than a problem with the group itself - so the person to
argue with is your isp's sysadmin. Of course the perfect solution if
you're a junkie like me is to get a sub with a pay news-server like
altnet or zippo :)
