Which Canadian TV station is televising the Canadian GP?

I need to set my VCR.    TSN is showing qualifying tape-delayed at 8pm Sat.
Can't find the Sunday race listing on CTV or CBC.   Anyone know what station
is showing the race?

I've started watching the races in French on SRC... I don't
understand the commentators so I don't get distracted when they
say stupid stuff ... now if only I could get the feed from Fuji
TV... their camera work used to be great.

I like Gerry, he's written some good books on F1 and biographies on Gilles
and James Hunt.   His insight is pretty neat.  I wouldn't call him a clown,
on the other hand Brian, you are a clown.

When it comes to race coverage play-by-play, I'd rather have Lloyd Robertson
or Dave Duvall (the weather guy, not the golfer) calling it, than Vic the
Shtick.  :)

People in Canada still get a wider choice of English Language coverage than
most.

What gets me is that I've enjoyed the French (Quebec) language coverage when
I've seen it, but then (as usual) there's a shit load of people who think it
sucks.  My view is that I would enjoy the idea of abolishing commentary all
together and have the option to turn it on (or off) as I please.   30 years
of being a fan makes me want to pretend I'm at the track, and can't hear
anything but the cars.

Isn't Rauter with John Watson?  I find both of them annoying to listen
to, and it's not what they say - it's their "accent" or inflections.   Ever
speak to Donaldson at say a book signing?  You might have another
opinion of him,  but that's just another of him I suppose.

He's a writer, and shouldn't be a commentator, my favourite combo was Hunt
and Walker.   JYS was pretty neat too, when he had to manage that imbecile
named Brian Williams.

When TSN took over back in '99, the coverage was amazing.  I have a 6 hour
tape (from my hotel in Montreal) of what they did to impress the viewers.
Years after that, nothing.  When I'm in Montreal, I watch RDS and French
CBC.   You really have to see Jackie Stewart and Frank Williams interviewed
in French, it's a gas.  Both of their French isn't bad.

Agreed. JYS:  The office is closed for him today, that cars not
going anywhere soon..."   Clearly he can talk over the head of most
of the audience, but he brings it back down to the proper level.

What's really funny is when you "Google back" to RASF1 when Murray announced
his intention to retire.

When JYS was proposed to be his replacement, many Brits said stuff like
"he's got a high and whiney voice" or "I've never heard him do a race, but
his accent is tough to understand".

To their note, many Canucks stood up and said stuff like "He's great!, that
would be terrific!".

Then a few (older) Yanks reminded us of when he called races for NASCAR for
one of the major US networks in the late 1970's.     I saw one of those on
SpeedTV, and it was strange hearing JYS call the Daytona 500.
