Lewis Hamilton, great driver, or greatest driver?

After today, I'm still going with greatest driver.
Look at the stats, he's still miles ahead of Fangio, Senna or Schuey.

What has he done to be the greatest ever. He is on the beginning of his
career, that way J.Villeneuve is one of the greatest, he was also
fighting for the championship in his rookie season. Drivers mentioned
above started their F1 career in cars that were total crap, and he
started in one of the fastest cars on the grid. He has to do a lot more
to be considered the greatest ever.

I think Lewis has the potential to be the "greatest ever", but that's
all it is until he proves himself over the next few seasons, you can't
judge on just 9 races.

He's the best rookie I've ever seen and I've watched the sport for
about 30 years now, but he does have a competitive car which a lot of
other rookies don't get the chance to drive from the start of their
careers.

Which is why the only thing Hamilton can be judged on is his
performance against his team mate, and as a person. Almost everything
else is down to the car.

When there is car racing it is all abou the car. When the driver is
there driving the car it is all about the car. When the mechanics are
mechanicking the car it is all about car. When the engineers are
engineering the car it is all about the car. When the designers are
designing the car it is all about the car. When the transporters are
transporting the car it is all about the car...

"It, always it" - Martin Buber

BTW. Hill was not 2 times WDC, and I can't remember JV ever leading
the championship. Plus, the Williams was at least 1 second faster and
this year the Ferrari has managed that. The Ferrari looked comfortably
quicker at S'stone. Raikkonen was off the road for his provisional
pole and Alonso's lap had looked perfect.

I think people are rolling in everything Mclaren have ever done. Last
year they were not very good. They are not this year for a reason. The
Renault people haven't forgotten Fernie.
