Lewis Hamilton: Great driver or Greatest driver?

After once again seeing his ability to lead a race start to finish, I
would have to say greatest driver.

IMHO

This is an obvious piss-take, as we all know that it is impossible to
overtake at the Hungaroring - but what exactly is the joke here?

Tell that to Nigel Mansell who won the race starting from 12th with a
brilliant and daring overtaking on Ayrton Senna :)

I think you mean:

"it is impossible to overtake in F1."

I think Alonso may also be able to do this. Lets see if he manages to
get pole in the last few races......

Good driver (in a good car), but it's far too early to proclaim him
greatest (or even great).  If he can do this season after season...

Perhaps the 3 greatest (IMO) were Fangio, Caracciola, and (I hate to
admit it) Schumacher.

Perhaps, but we need to wait and see how much he achieves.  It's premature
at this point.  Unexpected things happen in life.

Really!

Cripes!  The latest two-time DWC has got 3 years before he's 29.

Lewis is a fresh faced kid, loads of potential, eloquent speaker, no proof
that he can race in the rain, no proof that he can start at the ass end of
the pack and fight his way up.  But, don't be impatient!

It's a wee bit early to make any claims on if he can or cannot.

Is this when I start ranting on "today's F1 fans, and how immediate
gratification is all they want these days?"

Besides, since Jacques Villeneuve's first and second season, I've never
trusted what's beyond the first two!

He crapped out big time!

It is a bit tricky to overtake someone who is pulling away from you.

That's what they all say.

One of Nige's greatest drives was facing Senna's ***at Monaco.

He didn't manage to overtake, but did he ever give it a few good shots!
