>>RANJI TROPHY Final: Bombay v Punjab
>>Match Drawn. Bombay wins the trophy on first innings lead.

>>BOMBAY 1st innings
>>Ashish Kapoor   29      3       128     0

>>BOMBAY 2nd innings
>>Kapoor          26.4    0       180     1

>Jeez! rather startling figures for a bowler who'll be going to
>sharjah for a *limited overs* competition!

It's getting a little worrying. In the previous game, the
semi-finals v/s Delhi, Kapoor's figures were :

Bowling         O       M       R       W
Ashish Kapoor   54.1    7       147     2

This gives him 2 wickets for 455 runs in his last 109.5 overs.
That's a pretty staggering stat, really, his form (not to mention his
confidence) cant be very high at the moment.

agreed that his avg is a figure he'd be embarrassed to compute
(455/3 equals extremely innocuous bowling!), but at least the
semi-final did not destroy his RPO rate the way SRT's blitzkreig
has done! i never thought of him as a very penetrative bowler
anyway; however, if he is to justify his place in a One-Day side,
his economy (RPO) rate should be presentable, at the very least.
approx 7 RPO is not exactly presentable.... (recall that bahutule
had an RPO under 1 on the fourth day on the same pitch)
