by ready for work, Paul Allott and Mark Nicholas (I think) were having the
usual discussion about team selection. They were talking about Neil
Fairbrother, and how well he played/how usfeul his experience was blah,
blah, blah. Nicholas questioned why he hadn't been a permanent member of
the 1 day setup for a few years. Allott replied that he'd had injury
problems with his hamstring & his calf over the last couple of years,
but everything has been OK since mid-part of last season.
So what happens? Fairbrother goes and does his hamstring in again.
