particularly the Aussies?

Cheers,

I looked up the list. It seems County Cricket has shed its Indians.
Ganguly's departure is understandable as there was mutual animosity
there btw Gangs and the Lancs players in general. However, I think
Dravid(Kent) and Kumble(Leics?) appeared to have done well and got along
with their peers ? Was it that the Indians wanted out or vice versa ?

Mainly, I think, that India have fixtures, so they won't be available.

Apart from Indian fixtures elsewhwere I seem to recall that the Indian board
wasn't very happy about Indian players playing in county cricket and have
discouraged the practise.

There are two articles at http://www.cricket-online.org/ outlining each
team's major players including the overseas players.

cricket-online.org has done a great job!!

The summary of each county team, their captain, overseas player and last
years' position, and a small preview is given in a magnificent way!!

In CricInfo, we have to go to England, then Domestic, then each individual
team, then search for the overseas player in the list, and its easy to get
confused. eg. Martin Love is actually an overseas player, but if you look in
player lists, people like me who dont know him thinks he is just another
Pom.

WELL DONE CRICKET ONLINE!!

Given Leics has gone the Dan Marsh option, I've a feeling they simply
didn't have the money a player of Kumble's quality should expect.  I
imagine Marsh will be playing for pretty much the same as the rest of the
team are playing for and using it as a bit of an over-seas trip.

I wouldn't say a player of his quality as Marsh is an unknown quantity. But
he certainly would have been a cheap buy.

He was. But he retired from international cricket so he could sign for
an RSA team.

IIRC He's renounced his Zimbabwean eligibility and now plays in (I believe
his native) SA.
