PAKISTAN TAKES ON TO SRI LANKA TODAY (WELL DONE KIWIS)

NZ has done it again. Last night they did NOT allow World Champions
Sri Lanka to beat them after scoring ONLY 169 runs. Morrison got
5 wickets for 34 runs, including 3 in last of his two overs. At one
stage Sri Lanka needed just ONE run, with two wickets in hand.

It reminded me a ODI match between Pakistan and New Zealand about 3 years
ago here in New Zealand. NZ were chasing ONLY 14+, and Kiwis needed
3 (or so) runs and Pakistan (Waqar in this case) needed THREE
wickets. Waqar did it, and match was tied. The last man out
was a LBW, and we all praised NZ umpiring at that stage.

Anyhow, today Pakistan will face World Champions Sri Lanka
and latelt Pakistan has been shaky against Sri Lankans. Then
tomorrow Pakistan will meet Kiwis.

In a week of "un-predictable" sports results (Tyson beaten),
NZ NOT allowing Sri Lankan to win any match out of two,
any result will be keenly awaited.

Well done New Zealand and specailly Danny! That means Pakistan will
have a very entertaining series in Pakistan starting from 17th. of this
month.

Pakistan beat world champions Srilanka today. Srilanka made 189 in 50
overs all out and Pakistan reached the target in only 46.4 overs with a
tremendous and second successive century by Saeed Anwar who made 112 in
125 deliveries. Pakistan reached the target with only loss of 2 wickets.

Way to go Pakistan...
