When Jacobs scored his century yesterday, it was the first one for West Indies
against South Africa since they started playing each other. This is the longest
(9 Tests) that a country has taken to achieve an individual century against
another country. Others with more than five Tests before getting an individual
century are South Africa against England (8 Tests), New Zealand against West
Indies (7 Tests) and Pakistan against Zimbabwe (6 Tests).

Australia have scored a century in their first meeting with every other country,
except New Zealand (2nd Test) and Pakistan (3rd Test). On the other hand, India
have conceded a century in their first meeting with every other country
(including Bangladesh), except England (2nd Test) and Pakistan (2nd Test).
Australia have not conceded a century in their first meeting with any other
country.

Sri Lanka have yet to score a century against West Indies (3 Tests) and Zimbabwe
against Australia (1 Test) & South Africa (3 Tests). Otherwise every country has
scored a century against every other.
