While this is spectacularly coincident,
the Don won't be left far behind!

DG Bradman   M   Inn   NO   Runs   HS    Ave
Test        52    80   10   6996  334   99.94
FC         234   338   43  28967  452*  95.14

Another interesting study in consistent coincidence:

Andy Flower  M   Inn   NO   Runs   HS    Ave
Test        63   112   19   4794  232*  51.54
FC         190   320   57  13494  232*  51.30

Is there a list of players who've had significantly lower FC averages
than Test averages?

Eh? This is precisely what list B. was in the post you are replying to.
Aslam defined "significantly" as a difference of 15.

Or am I missing something?

-Samarth [ Barrington narrowly missed the list: difference of 13 ].

Higgsy's news server only downloads the first ten lines of each post.  It's
a safeguard designed to stop him from reading too much of his own dribble.

I think Aslam has missed the mark somewhat here. Should have really set a
minimum of say 25 matches to eliminate all the less interesting cases. As
you say Barrington is the prime example of a player who grew an extra leg in
the test arena. Although his FC record is more than respectable, his test
record puts him as one of the all time greats of the game. Another player
who stepped up his game when playing for his country was Tony Grieg, who's
rather modest FC average of 31.19 jumps to 40.43 in tests. As a comparison
I. Harvey has a FC average of about 32.4.
