Differences in Ranji averages with Test level averages

Ranji ave            FC ave          Test ave

If one looks at the records of spinners of the past except Madan Lal
bowling averages at the Ranji level and at the Test level are almost
doubled in most cases. This benchmark appears to be quite accurate.
Back in the 70s, with very little 1-dayers being played, the bowlers
would mostly bowl in FC cricket. As a result, we get a clear idea
as to what will be the average if your FC average is above 30.

The only part I buy about this argument is the fact that Madan Lal was a
spinner.
