Tudor averages 36 with the ball this county season.  What the $#$# are the
English selectors smoking?? they are better off with Silverwood, who
averages below 20....

Tudor, though, has impressed in the recent OD games he has played in.

Take a look at Trescothick's first class average at the time he was selected
for test cricket.  Sometimes averages dont tell the whole story.  I think ENg
want a guy who can bowl a 5 over spell and take 3/15 in it.  Tudor may be able
to do that, + he can bat, so he adds a much needed bowler without losing too
much in the batting dept.

And if Trescothick falls to Gillespie in the same fashion again people may
start asking some questions. I would tend to think he'll do OK at Trent
Bridge however. The real test will come at Headingley.

 I think ENg

If that's what they were looking for, then they should have picked
Silverwood. Given what Tudor says about himself in an interview in
this morning's Guardian, they must have been looking for a bowler who
can deliver good line and length economy as well as taking the odd
wicket.

But that remains true.
