Impressive effort by the Brits to win this game, however it may come to
nothing as they still will have to defeat both Aus and Ind to get through to

I am of course counting Zimbabwe out. Even with them in, I think England
has a good shot.
Even if England loses to India, they will end up with 3 wins, and then if
Pakistan loses to India, England looks like they will make it.

On this note, has test ball changed in any way in the last twenty years (eg
mass, size, hardness) as this would have a say in the outcome and if so,
maybe mathematical calculations could do some speed conversions to compare
apples with apples..

It could be a case of being in the right place at the right time with the
right ball, right pitch and right climate to clock that ideal ball.
