I first saw the mention of 'chucking' against an unknown WI bowler a
couple weeks ago. Apparently Boby Simpson had mentioned to Peter
Mcdermott (NZ official) that someone had a dubious action. If I were
you guys on rsc I would not take Bobby Simpson seriously. Why you ask.
Though I am from the Caribbean, anyone who studies bobby Simpson and
his attittude to WI cricket and cricketers would see that the man is
a *** piece of work. I first heard him when he was coach at
Leicesteshire in county cricket decrying WI cricket as the worst
thing that happened to the game (when originally asked why WI
dominated cricket). He went on about fast bowling, denied
the Aussies ever sledged, and generally did not give not one
iota of respect to any thing emerging from the WI.
Before this series began, I mentioned in a posting that Bobby Simpson
would say something stupid, either as norm or to try to stoke up
things. It is obvious. Walsh is bowling well right now. By raising
doubts against 'one of the quartet', he is trying to put pressure on
these guys. Are you seriously telling me that if any one of the long
suffering victims of WI cricket over the years knew anyone was chucking
that they wouldn't have said so, or even intimated as such. It must
take a lot to walk past BS (note the name abbreviates to what he usually
speaks) without wacking him, after he says something like that. Taking
this too seriously you say.
Let me remind you guys that anyone who has had the cloud of chucking
resting over him, has either remained bitter, or has had all
their deeds retrospectively prefaced with a mention to 'suspect action'.
Do the world of cricket a favor, and senior citizens a bad name and retire,
before that foul and very injudicious mouth of yours actually works
against your team, rather than for it, as you seem to believe, BS.
