by I heard on the radio this morning that the ABC will cover the second and
third session of each days play while Nine is covering Wimbledon (Test
3?). I'm not sure whether they will use Nine commentators and coverage,
or Pay TV, but they will not have their own commentators on TV, simply
broadcast whatever Nine gives them.
This is a relief after speculations that there would be no coverage while
Nine has Wimbledon commitments. The only thing is that I heard the news
on ABC radio, so maybe it was wishful thinking on their part? They did
sound very convincing though!
One advantage is that there won't be any ads!! If only ABC had enough
money to cover the cricket permanently we'd all be laughing!
