Lol!  btw Aravind, did you get to see Yasir play?
Ur thoughts on him,  I know Bangladesh attack is not a good one but
what kind of batsman is he , attacking, flashy, or dour type?
Inzy seems to have sadly out for a duck.

IMO Yasir Hamid is a good prospect. He is a fairly solid player who
needs to work on his hook and pull shots big time otherwise the faster
bowlers will make kachoomar or mincemeat out of him once they realize
the extent of his discomfort playing these strokes. Ofcourse he can
always sway or duck out of the way but with the advent of ODI cricket,
that is all but a dead art/skill in present day cricket

Otherwise Yasir is quite a compact player who knows exactly where his
off-stump is. Cannot really comment too much on his repetoire because
the majority of Yasir Hamid's batting that I had a chance to see were
valiant efforts to resurrect the Pakistani innings on bowler friendly
tracks in bowling friendly conditions. Yet the few strokes that he
played were fairly pleasing to watch

I thought his style bore more resemblance to an English batsman than
the traditional wristy subcontinental player that we in India,
Pakistan, Sri Lanka and now Bangladesh are so used to seeing. Perhaps
it was the conditions that compelled him to play that way, but then
again when you are trying to survive it is natural human tendency to
revert to doing what comes easily to you so. Probably will have to see
more of him to reach a verdict

It is reported that this innings was full of brilliant strokes,
especially drives off the backfoot and cuts. If anyone had a chance to
see him please do let us know more about him
