Shewag's catching and fielding position

Why on earth do they have Shewag fielding in the slips?  From the comms.
I gather he dropped someone perhaps Guna in the SL match and now today
he drops Sinclair both reasonably easy catches.  The guy cannot bat
he can hardly bowl, fatso can hardly field, shouldn't they hide him at
3rd man boundary or something?  I hope he does something in this match
at least.

Prasenjit,

I think the reason you find Sehwag in slips that the
regular/specialist slip fielders have all chickened out. Laxman
bruised his fingers in Zimbabwe and had to sit out a few games so
probably thinks its not worth the risk. Dravid the other good slip
fielder has had finger injuries. Ganguly and Tendulkar have also
manned the slips in the past. Ganguly could be just as bad as Sehwag -
he can catch a few blinders but drops a number of sitters. So all in
all, Sehwag is there because of the TINA factor.

Cheers,

Vinay
