yes they did.
but that is because they are a better team than india.
especially the 2001 team with mcgrath and warne.
and it was a hard-fought win. not the usual thrashing that they dole out.
but tell me that they weren't tired at the end of the tour?

Nowhere near as tired as they would've been when they went to England
for a long tour straight after...

I think rain affected matches, for a batsmen trying to find a groove to
bat in, would be damn hard to bat in, always messing with your
concentration and such.

As for Harby, he really did have Ponting's measure last time, although
every time he's batted against him since, in the WC, the TVS, the
Brisbane test (before Harby was injured), he's looked to assert himself
over Harby, not to be dictated to - and he's succeeded it seems.

Will be interesting later this year.

Not offering any opinion here, but just pointing out the fact that
Ponting succeeded in against HS in ODI's in that series itself.

Doesnt matter, a match that gets reduced to an innings per team cannot
be drawn into conclusion...Brisbane was rain affected and should have
helped the bowlers...yet Ganguly made a superb 144....so shall Isay,
Ganguly will play against any genuine fast bowling all the time ?

Once again, lets keep test matches and one day matches aside...further
more, this discussion is about pitches in sub continent..solets leave
the world cup and this series out...we are talking about sub continent
pitches...just as Aussies fancy making fun of Ganguly on bouncy
pitches..

Should really be! espeically for the likes of Brad Williams ,who
seemed to have taken the whole thing about sledging too far in this
series.
