AlveyTV ain't workin' for me

Post by Rats » Fri, 02 Jan 2004 18:35:19

Hey Alvey. Most of the links are coming up with 404 errors. Those links that
appear when clicked on load for a little while ( 30s to 3m) and then nothing
happens. Am I doing something wrong or has AlveyTV taken some time off?

HD response # 1:

"Instructions to do what I did in IE:

Go Tools->Internet Options...->Settings->View Objects.
Delete the Illuminatus Active X control from
DigitalWorkshop.
Visit alveyland.net again, and this time it should
install just fine and
should work"

This is what Shripathi successfully did and what I suggested Wog do,
but I never heard back from him so I can't say if it worked.

The product does seem to be a tetchy beast. I've had inexplicable
episodes meself where it hasn't worked during dev so I've given up and
gone to bed only to find that it works fine first thing in the morning.

never worked for me either.
why don't you just provide direct links to the mpg files (or whatever format
you're creating them in).
i have plenty of bandwidth, so that isn't a problem.

It's on the agenda.
Have you tried the fix Rats tried? It's worked for two out of two now.

And, as I've said, that is on the project board.
