    And that was a couple of seasons ago. That was before Lara had his
375 or 501; when Martin Crowe was likely still the best bat in the
world. Right now, Waqar is coming off an injury, and is clearly not
bowling as well as he used to (I hope it's just lack of form), and is
likely not as fast as he was either. Donald, OTOH, is as fast as ever,
and is apparently bowling much better than he was a couple of seasons
ago. It's not inconceivable that on today's form, Donald is the quickest
(and best) fast bowler in the world. Of course, since best is a matter
of opinion, I'm  still going with Akram.
