Most Tests without away win

There has been some discussion about India's inability to win Test
matches away from home. I decided to look at it for all countries.

Most consecutive away Test matches by a team without a win:

43  (29L, 14D)   Ind   Lord's        1932     to  Sydney        1967-68
31  (17L, 14D)   SL    Karachi       1981-82  to  Napier        1993-94
30  (15L, 15D)   NZ    Lord's        1931     to  Johannesburg2 1961-62
26  (10L, 16D)   Ind   Leeds         1986     to  Colombo (SSC) 1993-94
25  (14L, 11D)   NZ    Dacca         1969-70  to  The Oval      1983
25  ( 8L, 17D)   Ind   Wellington    1980-81  to  Sydney        1985-86

For other countries:
12  ( 5L,  7D)   Eng   Johannesburg4 1938-39  to  Kingston      1947-48
13  (6L, 6D, 1T) Aus   Lord's        1985     to  Leeds         1989
23  (17L,  6D)   RSA   Melbourne (4) 1910-11  to  Melbourne (5) 1931-32
 9  ( 3L,  6D)   WI    Lord's        1933     to  Calcutta      1948-49
24  (10L, 14D)   Pak   Bombay        1960-61  to  Wellington    1972-73
 8  ( 5L,  3D)   Zim   Delhi         1992-93  to  current

Remind me to never bet on India away from home! If there current away record is
as poor as this, they clearly must really be considered in the bottom bracket of
test teams. What odds to beat RSA in RSA?

What, surely not? The world champs! :)

I think India is without doubt a poor team away from home, especially in
the tests. They lack planning in all areas. Look at their international
calendar. There is hardly any rest. There isn't any time for any player
to rethink. The Indian cricket board should use its head. I feel that
all cricket control boards should appoint a committee to plan the
schedule appropriately. If the palyers do not preform then you can blame
them.
