Quite a reversal of fortunes in ODI cricket. India won the Coke cup in
a similar way as Ozzies won the Pepsi cup. After the Pepsi Series we had
a few posts that in the present context can apply too, only in the other
way around. So, in these following articles that were posted after the
Pepsi cup, please replace Aus with India and India with Aus.

The present Auz team would definitely hate  SRT for life.
I've nothing else to gloat.

Thanks for listening,
Sanjeev

To all the Indians who gracelessly abused me during this ODI series,
you may start genuflecting now. He who laughs last laughs loudest and
I am roaring.

I predict that once again Australia will be nearly a decade before
returning to the hell that is India. It is no surprise that the Poms
won't go there either.

I feel really sorry for the Indians, they have been ripped off by the
Australians

You forgot the $400,0000 which the team pocketed by working with the bookies
and losing the league matches to Aus .... We can beat you on any day ;-)

Cheers,
The Insect.

what a wonderful feeling.  I thought the birthday boy may not deliver
goods for
1. he could be in party mood
2. too much attention today over him for several reasons.
3. may be satisfied over his semifinal (!!) innings.
4. law of statistics may not be favoring him.

But that is sachin.  He can go against any odds, and that's how he is a
champion.  A champion has his own way of celebrating. I certainly feel good
to be a generation that enjoyed the highest level of sports from Michael
Jordan, Pete Sampras, Tiger Woods, and SRT.  I wonder who could be coming in
for baseball, someone as good as Babe Ruth.

I hope SRT's best is yet to come. He is 25, and his statistics are already
matching with Sunil Gavaskar, Allan Border, and Vivian Richards.  31
Centuries in test + ODI (2nd after SMG, AB = tied), 2nd in ODI centuries
(tied with Saeed Anwar, after Desmond Haynes), 2nd in MOM in ODI awards,
tied with Desmond Haynes, after Viv. Richards.  Can't wait to get the videos
from home.
