Can't agree with the 'Go Windies' bit, but yes.

For the benefit of the Aussies in rsc, Michael Bevan got MoM for the
second round in a row. Chasing 170 off 60 overs to win, Lancs took
several wickets early, and Bevan played a very uncharacteristic innings
based on survival. Until over 58, he was scoring at about 28/100 balls,
and then, with Yorks needing about 17, knocked Glen Chapple for 10 in an
over to virtually settle it.

in cricket,

Managed to get 2 days in at the cricket--the 1st and the last. It was
excellent entertainment, the only disappointment being Windies inability
to win. Just a few unrelated remarks......

1. In the 2nd Innings Walsh scored 16 made up of 1 single, 1 two, 1 three,
1 four and 1 six. Is this unprecedented? It's certainly trivial.

2.  Windies are going to have to bring Dhanraj in for the next side. Assuming
Hooper is unfit, WI are going to need a some variety---reports suggest the
test match pitch at Trent Bridge is looking very dry. I suppose Kenny B will
have to go. A pity 'cos he bowled excellently in the second innings.

3. Cheats Shatter Illusions part 2: No doubt certain contributors are upset by
the English win 'cos Corky didn't walk when he trod on his stumps. Most people,
I suspect, will react like the TV commentators and admire his cheek for getting
    away with it.

4. I still think the Windies can win the series 4-2. Lara is peaking, Richie and
Campbell are looking good, and Adams must get abig score soon, mustn't he?

5. Yorkshire beat Lancashire in the Nat West quarter-finals. Northants will be
    the next to fall.

Go Windies! Go Yorkies!

I don't think so. I doubt if anyone is sure that Cork _knew_ what had
happened. Crawley, on the other hand ...
