Colombo, Jan. 28 (PTI) - Superb bowling by left-arm
speedster Shallabh Shrivastav helped India bundle out Sri
Lanka for a paltry 178 runs with 11 balls to spare in the
final of the Youth (under-19) World Cup Cricket
tournament here today.
Srivastav trapped in-form opener Ian Daniels for a duck
on the fourth ball of the match to open the floodgates
and wickets fell at regular intervals as the hosts
collapsed in 48.1 overs after electing to bat first at
the S. S. C. Grounds here.
The lanky Uttar Pradesh paceman finished with three
wickets for 33 runs, while the superb Indian fielders ran
out four of the Lankans.
For Shri Lanka, Jehan Mubarak top scored with 58 runs off
108 balls, while Kaushalaya Weeraratne added a quickfire
24 off 25 balls.
