Did not they also vote to start it in the '40s? Or was
apartheid forced upon the oppressors as well as the
oppressed?

Mihir.

No, most of us weren't born yet, not were our parents.  Remember when
African-Americans got the vote?  Wasn't all that long ago either.  So
don't point fingers at SA, we are doing our best to undo the damage a
few narrow-minded people did many years ago.

Congratulations to S. Africa for winning the first test and
for ending apartheid.

Please lets play cricket guys, not politics.

Well, I was only born in 1959, so, no, they didn't vote to start it in
the 1940's.

If South Africans, who suffered under Apartheid, can put the past behind
them, perhaps the rest of the world can start doing so too. There is
nothing to be gained by repeatedly bringing up the past and trying to blame
the present on it.

I totally agree.  I find it very offensive that you draw us into this
argument over "apartheid" as neither me nor my parents was born in 1940.
So... grow up and first solve the problems in your own country before you
"critique" somebody else's!

We have a great country, great sportsmen, great people.  So....Don't mess
with us.

By the way... Our sportsmen and women is regarded as some of the best
behaved and the best "sports" all over the world.
