Hi all,

I would like to cut the handle about an inch or 3/4 of
an inch stopping just before wraped string starts on the handle.

1. Is it OK to cut top part of cricket bat handle so, long
handle becomes short handle bat?

2. Has anybody done this before?

What very strange behaviour! I have enough difficulty finding long-
handled bats in the shops even in Britain without chopping the end off
one to get the more ubiquitous short handle size.
