        Sachin Tendulkar is getting married on May 6th, 1995 to
        Anjali Metha (daughter of an Gujarati Businessman).

        They will move into a 2200 sft penthouse in 'SportsField'
        complex where cricketing stars like Gavaskar, Shastri,
        Vengsarkar... live. This is courtesy of the Govt. of
        Maharastra.

Now that we all know what a bad move it was,  :)
can someone please tell me the circumstances
under which Sachin Tendulkar was selected to
play test cricket?! What was his first-class
record like: did he play any Ranji games at
all, or was he just picked for his potential?

Also, if anybody has stats about young test
debutants and centurians, please post. I think
Mushtaq Mohammed holds the record for both, though
Sachin came close to besting him. Sachin is still the
youngest test fifty-an though. :)
