Gower's retirement..

I am a great fan of Gower, and I hate to see him retire now.
I think he still got what it needs to be a great batsman, and
England should've used his talents for few more years.

Abdul, it seems over the last 2 years that just about everyone who
cares about England cricket EXCEPT the England selection committee
has been constantly amazed by the lack of Gower in the England team!

I saw him play at Bristol earlier in the summer. OK a slow track
but he was definitely the most comfortable Hampshire player
against the genuine pace of Courtney Walsh. Hooking in front of
square etc.... I think it was a mistake not to pick him for
3rd test this summer, a mistake not to take him to WI this winter
and pobably the biggest mistake of all not to take him to India last
winter.

You can't really blame him though after being so blatantly ignored.
He does average more than Gooch in tests u know (and his career
test average is better than 1st class one).
