The day batsmen are allowed to make an infinite number of mistakes like the bowlers are allowed to make, is the day cricket becomes a batsman's game.

This became clear beyond doubt after Gayle's bouncers hit the batsmen almost every ball he bowled.

It wasn't just the batsman in danger, either. A couple of times the roof fittings were hit.
