IMRAN KHAN & "CHEATING"

Hi,

A while ago Derek Pringle was quoted as saying that
he did "ocassionally lift the seam etc ...", that was
a few days before the PUBLICATION OF HIS BOOK.

What do we see now ? A certain Mr Imran Khan is in
the news saying that he "occasionally tampered with the ball"
and this is also just BEFORE THE PUBLICATION OF HIS BOOK.

Isn't it blatantly obvious that these guys are just trying
to generate hype so that their books will sell ??

Imran Khan should know better. Doesn't he realise that
by saying this he is not only disgracing himself he is also
disgracing the current team. All this just goes to prove
what I have believed all along : Imran Khan is a selfish
arrogant git who doesn't care an iota about the game of cricket.

Let me point out a few FACTS for you and all those people out there
who share the same ignorant views.

First of all the book mentioned above is NOT HIS book. In fact it is
a biography of him by Ivo Tennant, available now at all good book
shops. And that IK is making no money out of the book.

Secondly u are talking as if Imran held a press conferrence a few
days before the publication to reveal that he tamperred with the
ball. But the truth is that THE MIRROR got hold of the script of the
book and decided to publish the juicy bits in its "exclusive".

All Imran had said in the book was that he could only recall one
incident in his 20 year carrier when he thought he went beyond the
acceptable limits of the laws.

I am afraid i disagree with u again.

if IK doesn't care about cricket, then why has he been the most
passionate supporter of Neutral Umpires over the years ????????

And if he really didn't give a shit then why would he bother plucking
out two of the best bowlers in the world (WA & WY) out of nowhere to
play for Pakistan.

Know the facts and think before you start pointing fingers at the man.

I agree with the arrogant git bit and exploitation of the press for personal
gain. Imran came to Toronto and told the press he hadn't decided about hius
future but turned out he had already sold his story and retirement
announcement to a UK a week before.

Led me a dance five hours gone as I tried to interview. A complete git imho.>
