Seven runs an over in ODIs - what is the record?

Agarkar once again gave seven runs an over in the 4th ODI.  This must be nth
time (n is a large integer) he has achieved this feat. This guy sure looks
like going for another ignominious record!

Nine times in 72 matches, apparently.  Overall rpo of 5.17 is not remarkably
bad.

This guy sure looks

Agarkar & Srinath has been the best bowlers for India this series.
Check the figures. Khan & Harbhajan have sucked royally.
Agarkar & Srinath took wickets at an ave of 30 this series, Khan &
HS at 45.

Anyway Zaheer went for more than 7 runs an over.
SherDil went for 6 & didn't take any wickets.

It is amazing how a mediocre non-descript bowler like Agarkar generates so
much passion in his admirers and critics. Clearly, he is not the best
Indian bowler. Not even close to being good. That said, he is also not the
worst Indian bowler. We have seen scores of them, starting with Bharat
Arun, with Rajinder Singh Ghai, Sanjeev Sharma, Rudrapratap Singh,
Bhupinder Singh, Amit Bhandari competing with Arun.
Agarkar actually (albeit occasionally) bowls over 140 kmph! Why not
just sit back, and let the guy have a go! He will play his quota of ODIs,
and then cede his place to another Agarkar/Prasad clone who again manages
to bowl at the same speed, gives the same amount of runs and has identical
strike rate...
I request the objective posters - Rocky, Kartik, RK, take note - to not
get carried away by his (non)performances. Let Harbhajan, Laxman,
Tendulkar, et al hog the attention. That will atleast make the
conversations more interesting.
Thanks

Vivek

You hit the bulls-eye.  You see if Agarkar's supporters accept him to be
what
he is we wouldn't see all this passion.  In fact his supporters have always
hyped him to be the next coming of Sobers, Kapil and what not.  Not only
that
these supporters have the temerity to put down Srinath, who has won a few
tests for us, in trying to hype Agarkar.  Not only that just look at the
reaction any post about Agarkar evokes from his supporters. I post a thread
with a title "Khan has better upside" to argue, IMHO, that Khan could be the
future alrounder that India is looking for.  Look at the reaction! One crazy
supporter of Agarkar starts this thread with my name on the subject! It's
like
as if I said something bad about their family members in public!  Go figure.

Lastly, I agree with what you say below.

Yes. Part-time bowler who has close to 200 wickets.
Your stupidity is astounding.

Just as an aside, it makes it interesting for me to read this ng.
Sometimes I just look for posts from these flamers. Makes a
good read while having a bland lunch.
