Sky TV Coverage of the ICC Champions Trophy

The coverage of the ICC Trophy by Sky (New Zealand) is quite shocking isn't
it? I've been going through they schedule and they are only showing 4 of the
preliminary games. This wouldn't be that bad if these included the key
matches in each of the 4 groups. But they decide to show a NZ vs USA ???
game live rather than showing any of the games from Pool D (With England,
Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe) Even the highlights of the tournament are shocking.

Who does the scheduling? do they have any idea about what they should be
showing ? I'm even more annoyed since they've taken the rights which makes
it impossible for any online live video coverage (such as Willow TV) to be
broadcast to NZ as well.

Needs of true cricket fans have been ignored here, and I'm not impressed
with Sky at all... If you cant do a good job then DON'T do it AT ALL.
Atleast gives us the option of getting the video from somewhere else..

Sky's crap.

Backward technology, mostly poor content, too expensive and too many
adverts. Don't know why I subscribe-thats right, they have the rugger.

I thought it was quite good, all things considered.

Dunno if you've noticed... but we're *IN* NZ... this is probably why
they're showing a game involving NZ, live.  I'd rather watch our lads play
USA (just for curiousity sake, more than anything else), than watch
anything involving Zimbabwe (at present), or S/L v England.  Hey: I'd like
to watch the whole lot, given the chance, but if they have to pick their
games... the ones with NZ in them would be higher on my list than the
others.

I'm a true cricket fan, and I've no problem with the coverage.  What you
mean is "your particular whim hasn't been catered for".  Fair enough: but
don't dress it up as something it isn't.

series we've been involved in in the last couple of years haven't had *any*
coverage (generally in those countries where the live coverage would be
over night), so it's at least a start.

I'm very surprised that they're claiming to be covering the Bangladesh
tour, after the ICC funsy thing.  I await what the coverage actually
consists of, with bated breath :-)

That was the only match that they could fit into their $2 dollar budget.
