Something to cheer about!
   Came across an interesting item in today's TOI.

It seems that BCCI has contacted BobbySimpson to take over the
reigns of the Indian Team on the completion of DrillMaster's
tenure next month.  And there will be a professional trainer
too with Simpson.  

   Keep a close watch on further announcements  in the
future.

p.s: I hope India gets thulped in the tests too, else some
     meaningless draws or "fluke victories" (like the
     one against Australia last season) will only
     derail the Changes in the selection committee and
     Foreign Coach.  This is the Ripe time, because even
     the diehard fans of the team have got frustrated.

I hope he talks to people like Gavaskar, Kapil and Bedi before
signing on the dotted line. He needs to be made aware of the
politics in Indian cricket. I dearly hope he demands (and gets)
a longish tenure, say 4 years. Also a say in selection matters.

 Yup, it is definitely time for Drillmaster Madan to go. What
a crazy guy. The only time he was aware of the word `strategy'
was during press conferences, when he used to boast that they
had planned everything! I hope Ali Irani gets the boot too, the
fellow is positively dangerous. He is beginning to talk about
voodoo and suchlike. :-(
