Its being played by everyone around the world. Why are
the subcontinent teams ignorant to it? Or is it that
just like everything else, things catch slowly in the
isolated South Asia region!!!!!!!!
A 20-20 international between Ind and Pak would have been
great and would be the right way to launch it in the subcontinent!!!!
Intead of playing the 6th ODI at Ahmedabad and thus making the ODI
series potentially undeciding, a 20-20 at the same venue would have
been just right!!!!
Some more advantages i thought of in 20-20 games:
a. No cribbing of pitch cacking up as the game will be over
in 40 overs in which time the pitch will hold up. So no
unfair advantage to any tam.
b. Now this is important. Over the last few years after Sachin had
single-handedly popularised the oneday game to phenomenal extents in
the 90s, it has become a place where unnecessary hype, nail-biting
passions etc are built up. Have we forgotten that it is just a game
and players need not be disected after every game??? 20-20 has a chance
of bringing back some fun into the game. Before anyone has a chance to
bring chair-throwing or bottle-hitting useless passion into it, the game
will be over for good!!!!!!!
