Okay, so it's a slow day. Here are all Test innings in which five
different bowlers took precisely two wickets each (bowling side is
listed first).

Aus v Eng   Sydney(4)      1882-83  2nd inn
Eng v Ind   Delhi          1981-82  only inn
SAf v Pak   Faisalabad     1997-98  1st inn
SAf v Pak   Durban         2002-03  2nd inn

GO COLTS!!!

Thanks Aslam.

Since you are in generous mood  (I guess it had to do with the Colts making
it, while my Dolphins going defenseless as usual), can you please help me
out with two more sets of stats?

The most futile effort by a bowler in terms of runs in a test.
The most futile effort by a bowler in terms of runs/wicket in a test.

Thanks.  May your Colts go far :-)

Depending on what you mean

9-374   OC Scott             West Indies v England        Kingston
1929/30

or

0-259   Khan Mohammad        Pakistan v West Indies       Kingston
1957/58

1-298   LO Fleetwood-Smith   Australia v England          The Oval
1938
1-276   RK Chauhan           India v Sri Lanka            Colombo (RPS)
1997/98
0-259   Khan Mohammad        Pakistan v West Indies       Kingston
1957/58
1-256   N Gordon             South Africa v England       Durban
1938/39

Thanks, that was what I was looking at, most runs given away in a match.

I now realize the ambiguity in my question, but between this and the next
answer, I have what I was looking for.

Thanks, again.
